Free-ebooks is one among the most famous torrent sites for books, as it offers you the advantage of reading your favorite eBook in PDF format. there is a wide genre of book collection within this site. You can pick anything between mystery, fiction, non-fiction, technology, youth, drama etc. one drawback of this application is, you must register on their site to be able to download a desired ebook torrent.
July 2, 2013, 18 new sites added, 4 dead links removed and all other links checked and working. I use LinkChecker to check page links and no longer visit each site individually to reconfirm. So, if you find a site that is not as it should be, then please post here in the comments. If you know of a site to be added to this listing, please post here in the comments. If you are the owner of a site that you would like added to this listing, it is better to contact me through the site (click on mr6n8). Also, no site that has an orange or red rating from WOT (Web of Trust) may be added to this listing, per site rules. So please check the WOT rating before posting. Thanks Steve

I can't tell you how long Amazon will continue offering this deal -- and what future payout rates will be -- but I do know plenty of indie authors who are choosing the KDP Select option and not publishing on other platforms because they think it makes the most sense both in terms of number of sales (or downloads) and earnings. Kindle still has the largest market share with about 60 percent of the e-book pie (Nook is at around 25 percent, Apple 15 percent, and others are left to pick up the crumbs).
The Utah Bar Journal is an important resource for Utah attorneys to keep up to date with changes in Utah law and stay informed of activities and happenings in the local Bar.  Students looking to practice in Utah should take a look at the Utah Bar Journal and see what it has to offer.  Most months we have a stack of print copies of the bar journal that are available on a first-come first-served basis at the circulation desk.  Now the Utah Bar Journal is being offered in eBook format for easier access on your tablet or eReader.  Interested readers can download the Utah Bar Journal in .epub or .mobi formats.  It is also available as a .pdf.

Disadvantage: Because almost anyone can make an ebook, it can be difficult to distinguish yourself from "almost anyone." To make your book equivalent to a "real" book (i.e., print), find and evaluate several digital book publishers before making a deal. A flashy website does not guarantee a great publisher. Look at the publisher's ebooks to see if yours fits in with that mix. Would you buy one of their books? Check the terms of any agreement you must sign to make sure you retain the rights that you should.

Generally speaking, if a company charges you for publishing your book and is fairly vague about what they are spending your money on, be alert. Once you sign your rights away, it is difficult to get them back. Other than vanity publishers, there are several companies that act as retailers and distributors and offer some publishing services (conversion or editing) as well. There are some things you’ll need to consider before signing up anywhere:

E-Book Directory is a popular and old free ebooks site which is daily growing. The site serves about 10,000 ebooks in 672 different categories. Not only this, you can also read and download categorized books, short reviews, documents and important lecture notes in variety of topics. Feel free to search the desired ebook through its search box but don’t forget to browse its new, top 20 and popular category because you will find some hidden gems there.

Creating & Formatting E-Books (Technical Stuff), please add Jutoh, a WYSIWYG design/editing program that builds your ebook. You can try it out for free or buy one of two versions. The $39 version is fine unless you need to have complete control over the HTML an CSS coding. Can be found here: jutoh.com. The graphic user interface is a lot like OpenOffice and Word, allowing great flexibility in design of your ebook.
Maybe I am the only one who cares but I sure would like to see a category for "Philosophy Books" The are NOT "Religion and Spirituality" books. That may be too technical a division for many of the website owners you list but it would sure help. There is a vast difference between the topic of revealed faith and belief compared to reason. If fact St Thomas Aquinas carefully worked out the difference at the start of his Summa Theologiae 800 years ago based on sound, deductive reasoning.
Verify your publishing rights. Public domain books are out of copyright. So, say you wanted to publish Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, you could publish it but it's likely that one of the official versions would sell better and it's available for free everywhere anyway. For your own books, select “This is not a public domain work and I hold the necessary publishing rights.”
Now it becomes easier to use EPUB to PDF Converter to convert EPUB books into Adobe PDF books. If you try to convert EPUB to PDF books, your EPUB ebooks will be read on various e-reader devices. It supports EPUB 1.0, EPUB 2.0 and other main version of EPUB files. The Adobe PDF books converted by this software are compatible with more different e-reader devices, such as Kindle, Kindle DX, Kindle Fire, Android tablet, Sony Reader, etc.

As for the library blocking one of our sites, well, libraries block for any number of reasons but most likely it was because we featured a bargain erotica book for the Kindle somewhere and a library scanner didn't like a suggestive word. Our sites don't discriminate against book postings by category--our philosophy is, if Amazon sells it, we'll promote it. I think that's fair.
