You can set up your own website and sell your ebook directly online. You might make a PDF available to your readers for example. A simple shopping cart or PayPal link and you’re all set. A reader visits your site, they order, and they get a download link and get your book. It’s pretty much all automated, and you simply keep an eye on things to make sure the site is running smoothly.
Beyond the excellence of the content itself, it’s going to be all about how well you market that eBook and get the word out that will determine if it gets its day in the digital sun. Speaking of Sean Platt, I’m working on something with his company that may well address how to help with that promotion (but can’t disclose this yet as it’s being built ; -). Promise to let all your readers know when that happens.
Thanks for that Kristen, I’m going to look into that myself. And also interesting point when you said, “fiction are the most landed genre.” I thought about that myself because I haven’t gotten one borrow yet. Also my eBook is short so it may not be necessary, and most books allow the preview of the first few chapters. Thanks for this added insight.
One of the best sites to download the ebook from a torrent, this is especially meant to support smooth downloads and its library includes thousands of books, covering genres like Fictions, Romance, Medicine & Health Science, Sports and various others. Thus, irrespective of the genre that appeals to you the most, you are assured to get the most relevant solution to your quest. Another point that deserves a special mention about this site is that it allows authors to promote their works.
Thank you for this very helpful website. We are trying to get all our ducks in a row to publish our new book by May 2012. This process is a bit confusing and you have helped me a lot on this. I was dissapointed to see how much droid and apple apps are to create. This was going to be a critical step in jumping ahead. We have our blog and hitting 60,000 hits a month since Jan 2012 so I think we have a good base for our new book on relationships. Professor Thomas Nagle has been trying to get this book together for 15 years lol. Visit us on tipsforlove.net Thank you so much for writing this. What do you think? Is 60,000 hits a month on a blog good enough to publish? I have not paid for advertising but instead used facebook and twitter to market this idea?
Upload your book file. This is the mobi for Kindle or the ePub for other stores. If it works, the upload will be shown as successful. You may get a notification of errors or spelling mistakes. Just fix them and re-upload another file if you need to. Most indies upload new files periodically as we update the back matter and lists of other books inside each book.
As for the library blocking one of our sites, well, libraries block for any number of reasons but most likely it was because we featured a bargain erotica book for the Kindle somewhere and a library scanner didn't like a suggestive word. Our sites don't discriminate against book postings by category--our philosophy is, if Amazon sells it, we'll promote it. I think that's fair.
