As the domain name suggests, Free-ebooks.net offers a colossal library of books for free with several categories including fiction, non-fiction, Academic, Classics, Textbooks, and Audiobooks. These are further divided into sub-genres like Drama, Mystery, Youth, Poetry, Short Stories, Beauty, Career, Business, Fitness, History, Politics, Travel, Self-Improvement, Web Design, Engineering, Geography, Robotics, Religion, and Science. The best part about this site is that it encourages budding e-book writers by giving them a platform to publish their work. What’s more? Free-ebooks also offers an option to choose the format in which you wish to download a book; for example: Kindle, Txt File, PDF, and EPUB. You can also join their affiliate program and earn up to 25% commission on each sale.
Lulu offers four levels of e-book creation and distribution services, ranging from a free do-it-yourself version to the $219 Amplifier, which includes one paperback copy of your book and the option for print distribution to Amazon and BN.com. Lulu offers e-book distribution in the Lulu store, B&N’s Nook bookstore, and Apple’s iBookstore. It does not currently offer distribution to Amazon. Royalties are “90% of the revenue from sales of your e-book” less the commission from sales through B&N and Apple. If a document has images, tables, and footnotes the company recommends contacting Lulu customer support to find out about its “premium” package. E-books take from one to two weeks to be reviewed, approved, and uploaded to the author’s Lulu account for distribution, which makes the wait period a bit longer than other options. Any revision to the text after initial publication requires initiating a new “creation process.” If you haven’t opted for the free DIY service, you are required to purchase a new package in order to make your changes.
Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

Make sure your dates at the free book lists are correct! Most of these posts are scheduled in advance so if your book is not free, you could be blacklisted. Double-check your Amazon ASIN number if the link is correct when you submit to sites (copy and paste from Amazon rather than type it in). You certainly can shorten your Amazon link, e.g. Amazon.com/dp/B008Y15YYO.  However, do not use any of these commercial link shorteners (bit.ly, wp etc. or Amazon affiliate links) for submission to promotional free book websites, they will not accept them.

This is probably the most comprehensive Kindle article I’ve ever read. As someone who’s been in publishing for many years and seen eBooks grow from internet marketers to the general public, and therefore being abused by authors who don’t know any better, I thank you for posting the importance of audience, a decent cover, and especially proper formatting.
I’ve only published short documents (crochet patterns) on the Kindle Platform, but really want to write and publish an ebook. This article will help get me started. I also need to look into the Kindle Select program more deeply. I remember when it was announced, but didn’t pay too much attention to it because I didn’t want to give my patterns away for free. But 5 free days over a 90-day period isn’t bad at all, and the potential to earn via the lending library has really got me interested. Thanks for sharing.
Great post and great insight on how to get your ebooks published and where. This post gave me great ideas on a booklet I’m revising for my business. Thought I should publish as a .PDF on my website, but now I’m considering creating it for Kindle too. With the ever-changing audiences and readers demanding more for less, it really is important to be so progressive. I’m diversifying my offerings and this will be one avenue I definitely want to pursue.

It takes time to build your audience at other stores, and having multiple books in a series is the best way to gain reader loyalty and sales for the long term. Each store has comparative strengths and weaknesses in the different worldwide markets, so building for the future means going wide. You can also listen to/read this interview with experienced indie author, Liliana Hart all about going wide with distribution.
If you want to sell an ebook seamlessly on your website you can use eJunkie.com which will handle all of your payment processing and digital delivery very cheaply! They also have a marketplace where your ebook is featured. If you don’t want to pay the small monthly fee, you can create a Paypal button that will deliver the ebook on a landing (Thank You) page you create before the sale. After a successful sale on your blog or website, Paypal will send the purchaser to your landing page where the download link is located – you can upsell the purchaser on this page or use it get get them onto your mailing list – show them videos, or give them free bonuses, ask them to follow you on Twitter or Facebook, etc. Hope this helps!
Great post, and I’m glad I read it because I have a lot of ideas and have one book written (for teens), but I wasn’t sure if I should turn it into an eBook or keep it as a ‘full blown’ non-fiction book. Of course, I could self-publish it and write eBooks based on the material, develop webinars/teleseminars, speak with teens/parents/professionals who work with teens, etc. Hmm…I have a lot of thinking to do. It’s time I get off my butt and get my products out there. 🙂
Ebook Converter is the simplest way to help you convert a large number of e-book file format in a very short time. It supports the current main e-book formats such as adobe epub, adobe pdf, kindle azw, mobi, prc and other types. A lot of e-books that readers bought from all kinds of sites may belong to a variety kinds of file formats. In fact not all electronic readers or computer software can identify all the e-book formats. The reason is that they are invented by all sorts of different manufacturers. In order to solve the problem that various electronic readers can support different formats, Ebook converter comes with a couple new features can easily help you convert the main e-book format to others. The common e-book formats contain: EPUB,PDF, AZW and MOBI. Adobe Digital Editions supports EPUB and PDF format. Amazon Kindle supports PDF, AZW and MOBI, B&N Nook supports EPUB format. And other e-Readers also support the EPUB format like Sony Reader, Kobo, iPhone, iPad.
Eindeutige Szenen. Deutliche Sprache. »Catching The Hunter« ist der vierte Teil der »The Twisted Kingdom«-Reihe und sollte nicht ohne das Vorwissen der anderen Bände gelesen werden. Alle Bände der Reihe sind bereits erschienen. [more][Less]
If you're going to self-publish ebooks or you are already selling them, then I do recommend that you buy an ebook reader or at least try reading an ebook on one of the many free apps. You need to understand the mindset of an ebook reader as well as their online experience. I read 99% ebooks these days, mostly on the Kindle Paperwhite and my iPhone Kindle app. I mostly download samples before buying, unless I know and trust the author. I also have preferences around pricing, and you will pick these things up if you try reading digitally.
When you want to convert AZW to PDF, it can recognize Kindle AZW file version automatically, and optimize for different version, which makes the converted PDF files keep the same with the original file in displaying effect(eg: layout and appearance). After the continuous improvement of programmed algorithms, most AZW books can be converted successfully and kept in best conversion quality. You can save or transfer the converted PDF files to other e-reader to read easily.
Nothing beats the paperback experience of books. Though, in a digital world such as this, the EBooks has certainly grown in popularity. EBooks are a great way to get your hands on reading materials that are otherwise unavailable in a particular region or are downright too costly to afford. These top 10 torrent sites contain a huge stock of EBooks to explore for the avid readers out there.

However, in an effort to attract authors Booktango is offering a true 100 percent royalty rate until July 4. And the Web site says that if you publish an e-book with Booktango by July 4, you'll retain that 100 percent rate for the life of that book. That means if you make a sale through Booktango's e-book store, you'll get the full amount of the sale (I'm not sure if credit card fees are deducted or not). You'll also get the full 100 percent net of the sale when selling through other e-booksellers (Apple, Amazon, and others will take their 30 percent cut, of course).

When iBooks Author launched, some people were upset by the fact that your project can only live in Apple's e-book ecosystem and nowhere else. So it goes. At the moment, the iPad is far and away the best-selling tablet and represents arguably the biggest market for graphically rich color e-books, not to mention the best way to view them (particularly on the new iPad's Retina display). Yes, Amazon has sold a lot of Kindle Fires and the Barnes & Noble's Nook Color and Nook Tablet have found their way into a lot of homes. But the iPad's still king, and Apple's calling the shots here.

You are stealing not just the book, but the author’s payment as well. You’re also the kind of idiot that thinks all authors earn ‘enough’, that they all earn the same kind of money as JK Rowling. The truth is that most don’t earn enough to write full-time. They write at night, early in the morning, any moment they can snatch while holding down sometimes up to 2 jobs to make ends meet.
Author Solutions, one of the largest self-publishers in the U.S., has entered the DIY e-book market with Booktango. Whether Booktango should be called an "e-book generating app" or "self-publishing platform" is hard to say, but it basically provides a free and simple way to upload your manuscript, edit it for proper formatting, then automatically serve it up to various e-book stores, including Kindle, Nook, Kobo, and iBooks.
Becky, the post image is a promo graphic put out by Amazon to advertise the Kindle Touch, not an image from the Amazon page for the The Paris Wife (which you can see is completely different). They chose to feature Paula McLain’s book on the device. We’re just using their supplied media graphic. Sorry for the confusion, but I’m not sure this is much of an issue that requires correction.
If you don't want to go the total DIY route, you can pay someone a few hundred dollars (or less) to format your e-book for you, but you'll still need to come up with a cover. J.A. Konrath, who's had a lot of success in the self-published e-book space and has written an excellent primer called "How to Make Money on eBooks," recommended Rob Siders at www.52novels.com. You can also try Ray Fowler at rayfowler.org. And Smashwords' founder Mark Coker maintains "Mark's List," which is a list of low-cost e-book formatters and cover designers with pricing starting at about $50. You can get the list via instant autoresponder by e-mailing list@smashwords.com.
Your timing is impeccable on this one as I’m working on completing my first eBook. And there’s so much that goes into just WRITING it, let alone the formatting, marketing, sales funnel angles, etc. Who can know it all? And what’s the point of all that hard work writing it if no one hears your “one hand clapping” in the digital woods? So thank you for this.
iBooks Author allows authors to create and publish their own e-books for sale in Apple’s iBookstore. The process is a bit more involved compared to other e-book services, but it’s a great option for design-savvy authors with multimedia-heavy books like children’s books or cookbooks. Authors can choose from several templates, including classic textbook, cookbook, or photo book and have the ability to add charts, tables, audio, and video to their books using widgets or “drag and drop.” To begin, authors must fill out a Paid Books Account application, which is reviewed in approximately two business days. Once authors receive a confirmation email, they must download a “delivery application” in order to deliver the book. Authors must have an Apple ID along with a valid credit card on file to sell books. iBooks Author does not offer a conversion service, but Apple does offer a list of approved “aggregators” who will format and deliver your book to the iBookstore for a fee -- these include Bookwire, Ingram, INscribe, Smashwords, and BookBaby. Royalties are 70% of list price with no fees. ISBNs are not provided.

You may already know of this site: The University of Virgina has a VERY OLD, and now abandoned in place, library of selected Hypertexts ... a few of which are good reads. The link is old, and very obscure: I saw some DUST fall off when I first clicked on it! http://xroads.virginia.edu/~HYPER/main.html (Darn I hate to see a project RUSTING in cyberspace like this .... :( ) When WAS that page last updated, anyway? I suspect it originated about the era of Windows 3.1 ~~~~~ 'cause that URL is very 'DOS like' ....
Hey Paul, I gather from what I read that you are charging 99 cents for your ebook. The most likely reason that people are not borrowing the book is the price. Customers who are involved in the lending program get to choose the book they borrow each month. They usually choose a higher priced book to get for free. If you were going to get 2 books in one month and one was 99 cents and one was $9.99 you would likely choose to get the $9.99 book for free and buy the 99 cent book. This is what KDP members are doing – choosing the books they borrow by looking at the books they want and choosing the more expensive book as their borrowed book and buying the less expensive books.
In our opinion, this is perhaps the best torrent site if you’re seeking nothing else other than e-books. Be it “Cooking”, “Computers”, “History”, “Fiction”, “Biography”, “Business”, or “Self-help”, you’ll find almost every genre under the sun on this site. Moreover, it has an impressive list of categories for easy browsing; a feature that lacks on the torrent sites mentioned above. You can even search for books as per their author, title, or subject. As of now, there are more than 4,00,000 books, and that is huge! Since this site is dedicated to e-books, its a brilliant option for avid readers.
Though, there are many sites which are serving free e-book torrents and paid ebooks. But, several of these sites are getting banned due to copyright violations. You can unblock ebook torrent sites using any of the proxy or a VPN. However, in this article, I am going to share with you a list of 10 ebook torrenting sites that are operating from years and not going to shut down any soon. Enjoy!

"I was looking for a site to download eBook torrents and I was recommended to use KickAss Torrents. This site has a very easy to use interface and allowed me to search a wide array of torrents for the exact eBooks (and others!) that I was looking for. I was able to easily download the torrents and then utilize them in my eReader at home, which is exactly what I was looking to do. KickAss Torrents supplied me with what I was looking for and I am very happy with the results. "
There are reports in the traditional press about the slowing down of ebook sales in the US, but this is skewed by data that only report on books with ISBNs. Many indies, myself included, don’t use ISBNs for ebooks. In fact, Author Earnings reports in October 2015 that 33% of all ebooks sold in the US don’t have ISBNs and none of those sales are counted in the traditional press reports. The Feb 2016 report demonstrated that the percentage market share of ebooks by indie authors only continues to grow in the US market.
Book-share is a boon for all those eBook fans out there. it is one of the best book torrent sitesavailable so far. Using this site, you can read the downloaded torrent files descriptions. Through the eBook author name, title and subject, you can effortlessly search for the desired downloaded eBook from the download list. The most painful aspect regarding this website is, it follows DMCA notion at its best. Which in turn makes using a VPN a mandatory way when you want to download your favorite eBook torrent.
The Pirate Bay was one of the most popular torrent site but now there are so many proxies available. The Pirate Bay has been banned some countries and people can’t access it. But The Pirate Bay has so many proxies available on the internet. The Pirate Bay also has the collection of Ebooks from literature, arts, science, commerce to all the subjects every imagined. If you love to read Ebooks then Now You can check The Pirate Bay Proxies.
Planet eBook isn’t as big as the sites mentioned above, in terms of its book catalogue. It currently has only about 50,000 titles in its library. That said, it is one of the fastest growing e-book torrenting site that allows users to download at no cost whatsoever. The site is quite straightforward and runs pretty smoothly. If you’re a fan of classics, look no further than Planet ebook!
Ebooks are, well, books. But in a format where they can be delivered or downloaded online. You can write them yourself, employ writers, use public domain content, and create your ebooks from many sources. And just about any subject can be covered — just as many, if not more, than what a traditional publisher might release because you can tailor your tomes to niche markets. Travel guides, how-to manuals, mystery, romance, science fiction, self-help, technology, religions… just about any subject is fair game as long as there is a market of ready buyers.
Both, Goodreads and Google+ have a free tool to advertise this event. Just type “event” into the search function on Goodreads, and on Google+ you can see the event planner on the right hand side of your timeline. Set it up a couple of days in advance and send out an email, to all your peers, write about it on FB, tweet it several times before the free days begin and don’t forget to announce it on Pinterest with a nice cover photo of your book.
