Though, there are many sites which are serving free e-book torrents and paid ebooks. But, several of these sites are getting banned due to copyright violations. You can unblock ebook torrent sites using any of the proxy or a VPN. That’s why we decided to help you out by writing this article. It is all about the Best EBook Torrenting Sites from which you can download your favorite e-book for free. To the best of my knowledge all of the websites listed here offer only content that they are legally entitled to transfer to you and safe for downloads. If you find a site listed here that you know illegally offers copyrighted material or if you ever encounter malware on any of these sites, please report below with a link to the infringing content.
November 22, 2013, 24 new sites added, 3 dead links removed and all other links checked and working. There are now 235 sites listed. I use LinkChecker to check page links and no longer visit each site individually to reconfirm. So, if you find a site that is not as it should be, then please post here in the comments. If you know of a site to be added to this listing, please post here in the comments. If you are the owner of a site that you would like added to this listing, it is better to contact me through the site (click on mr6n8). Also, no site that has an orange or red rating from WOT (Web of Trust) may be added to this listing, per site rules. So please check the WOT rating before posting. Thanks Steve
Kobo claims to offer one of the world’s largest e-bookstores, with nearly four million titles available across 68 languages and 190 countries. Kobo Writing Life offers a user-friendly, five-step process for uploading e-books, and the company will convert your manuscript into an e-pub file for free with no additional cost to the author. Kobo has recently simplified its royalty structure, offering authors 70% of the list price on books priced $2.99 and higher with no cap. Royalties are 45% for books priced between 99 cents and $2.98, and authors can also choose to offer their e-books for free. Unique to Kobo is its partnership with the American Booksellers Association, which means thousands of independent bookstores make Kobo e-books available for purchase on their Web sites, helping enhance discoverability. However, I have to comment about the book you used for art at the top of this post. Paula McLain’s critically acclaimed novel, The Paris Wife, a New York Times best seller and winner of many awards, is NOT a self-published e-book. Nor, is it your book. Yes, Paula’s novel — still selling well in hardcover — is available on a Kindle. But it is misleading to include it next to a declaration that you’ve just finished writing your first e-book. As artists, we all need to guard against even the appearance of appropriating others’ creative work as our own. Or, of using others’ art without credit. The post didn’t explain why you used her book as an example. And neither she, nor her novel, were identified, despite being featured prominently.
Apple iBookstore. The Apple iBookstore lists over 700,000 titles. It supports all formats. To publish in the iBookstore, access the requirements and application. The royalty rate is 70 percent. Apple does not pay publishers until they meet payment requirements and earning thresholds, which vary by territory. Small publishers may get paid faster using an ebook aggregator.

You are stealing not just the book, but the author’s payment as well. You’re also the kind of idiot that thinks all authors earn ‘enough’, that they all earn the same kind of money as JK Rowling. The truth is that most don’t earn enough to write full-time. They write at night, early in the morning, any moment they can snatch while holding down sometimes up to 2 jobs to make ends meet.

Verify your publishing territories. If you are self-publishing and you hold all the rights, you just click, “Worldwide.” If you are already traditionally published, you may own rights in other territories. For example, say you published with a publisher in the US and sold only the US rights, you could self-publish in the UK or Australia or any other country. You can select individual territories and deselect the ones that you have sold to someone else.
Maybe they shouldn’t charge ridiculous prices for books. Screwing over students, making one small revision so they can resell the new edition for full price. Adding in bullshit online codes so you’re forced to purchase the book new and removing the used book option. Screw the publishers, I pirate with pride. I’ve paid about $100 for thousands of dollars worth of textbooks. Don’t rip me off and I won’t rip you off. Sounds like you’re salty paying thousands for BS textbooks!
As a new author, you will not receive much in the way of promotion for your traditionally published book. In fact, they will ask YOU how you intend to promote it. You will have a small press run and you book will be tied up contractually with the publisher for years. With Amazon, or simply publishing for Kindle on you own – you will still have to face the giant hurdle of promotion but with the Select Program you will at least have Amazon’s huge promotional system giving away your ebook to a wide audience and they hope is that this will build an audience and sales. What happens is people download tons of free ebooks and don’t read them! You have to stand out in some way, ask for reviews, and promote your book via social mediums, blogs and in any other way you can think of – you are not just a writer when you become an author, you are a self-promoter, too! But as young as you are – you will master all of these things over time and have every chance of becoming a working published novelist and writer. Nothing is stopping you but your own willingness to jump and work at it every day. My friend Steve Hayes is a professional writer in his 80’s who writes every day at 4:00 am when his house is quiet and has done this for decades. He was a young actor in Hollywood turned screenwriter in the 40’and 50’s and beyond and now is retired but is a writer ever really retired? His books are published every year in all sorts of genres, including ebooks versions. Nothing is stopping your from becoming another Steve Hayes!

When it comes to eBook torrent downloading, Torrent Downloads is always on the forefront. Apart from eBooks it can also offer you music, movies, games, TV shows, software, etc. for download. This website has Bollywood/Hollywood/regional language movies to be downloaded within it. Around 16 million torrents can be downloaded from the website across genres. The torrent indexing site indeed has a vast database of torrents. This site has been banned in the United Kingdom.
“… Write it in Word because if you decide to format this yourself, you must save your file to a filtered .html or .htm format, which translates on the Kindle very well.” This is not true. My ebooks looked like TOTAL CRAP after converting from Word. I cannot sell books looking like that so I pulled them from the program. I will probably have them professionally formatted at a later time.
If you write children’s books, then consider the Kindle Kids Book Creator, which is a specific tool for image-heavy children’s books. Check out this interview on the tool and also this interview with Karen Inglis on all aspects of children’s publishing. You can also check out iBooks Author, which can be used for children’s books on the iPad as well as textbooks with enhanced video and images.
As far as I know, even outfits like Rogue Reader have a submissions/acceptance process; you can’t offer a profit share and expect to be assisted for free without them reviewing the work and deciding it’s something they want to invest time into. (However, if you can provide a link to a page that explains otherwise, I’d definitely like to see it.) If you don’t want to pay anything for editing, your best bet is to get involved in online writing communities where writers serve as each others beta readers. Wattpad, Authonomy, and BookCountry are some of the most active and… Read more »
Here are the three big questions to bear in mind with e-book creation: first, what is the easiest and most cost-efficient way to produce an e-book? Second, where will it be distributed? And third, how much of a cut do you get? With those in mind, let's take a look at some of the more high-profile options available currently. I'm limiting it to these options because I want to keep this as simple as possible.

Luckily for you, we’ve sifted through the wheat from the chaff on your behalf. We looked at the best online ebook converters for every format 5 High-Quality Online Ebook Converters for Every Format 5 High-Quality Online Ebook Converters for Every Format Ebooks with their multiple formats can be confusing. These faultless online ebook converters will serve your every need. Read More and found these five to be the best:
Set your pricing. Most of the stores have country-specific pricing and it's well worth setting these individually instead of relying on an automatic exchange rate calculation. For example, if you price at US$4.99 and just leave it to automatically calculate for GBP, then readers in the UK might see £3.21, which is an odd price. It's best to change the UK price to £2.99 or £3.49 which is a price readers are more used to seeing. Amazon has specific price bands for royalties, so you need to price between $2.99 and $9.99, if you want 70% royalty. If you're pricing below or above that, then it's 35%. If you're in KDP Select, it doesn't make so much of a difference, because you'll get paid per page read.
E-Book Directory is a popular and old free ebooks site which is daily growing. The site serves about 10,000 ebooks in 672 different categories. Not only this, you can also read and download categorized books, short reviews, documents and important lecture notes in variety of topics. Feel free to search the desired ebook through its search box but don’t forget to browse its new, top 20 and popular category because you will find some hidden gems there.

Thank you for a well-written and well-formatted post. I’ve tried to scan all 182 comments and answers (!) but forgive me if this has already been addressed… I’m going to publish with KDP then opt-out @ 90 days so I can sell via my own site. I believe Word play better than Pages with KDP due to conversion issues to .mobi. My content will consist of stories, photographs and recipes – so I anticipate formatting nightmares.
No special apps needed! Project Gutenberg eBooks require no special apps to read, just the regular Web browsers or eBook readers that are included with computers and mobile devices. There have been reports of sites that charge fees for custom apps, or for the same eBooks that are freely available from Project Gutenberg. Some of the apps might have worthwhile features, but none are required to enjoy Project Gutenberg eBooks.
Now, after being greatly upset by the above post, we after all are just myself, my wife and a couple of writer friends trying to do something new and different, I decided to do some searching on the net and found a site closely related to our name (zippyshare) which DOES have quite a shady reputation as both spammer and illegal downloader, but I want to make the readers here at Library Thing aware that those folks have NOTHING to do with us. (I picked HotZippy because I thought it had a cute sounding name like Google or Kobo etc and probably should have looked a little more closely, though I never anticipated something such as this happening to us.)
