FreeEbooksCanada is very specific about the ebook it uploads on its website but all the ebooks it uploads are highest rated and top quality. Those ebooks, reports, videos, graphics, software and themes which are PRO and usually not available for free anywhere else, you can find them in this website. After Kickass went down, ExtraTorrent soon followed suit. However, the much popular torrent site had a huge fan-base who’ve successfully replicated the ET forerunner. Much like the first two sites, ExtraTorrent too has a great e-book collection, but mostly fiction. Aside from e-books, these kind of torrent sites also give users access to other type of media such a movies and TV shows. ET’s community is one of the most effective across the globe so be sure to check out e-book related discussions. Note that domain of ExtraTorrent gets changed regularly. You can check ExtraTorrent Proxy sites in this article.
Wikibooks is one of the best book torrent sites out there. the site provides open content e-books that mean anybody can edit the contents of the book. you will find over 2695 books with 56719 pages. Pricing: iBooks royalty rates are a flat 70% for all prices and all territories. Publishing on iBooks requires the iTunes Producer program, which is only available for a Mac. Unless you have the software to make your PC run Mac programs, you’ll need to take one of two steps to get your books on the platform. You’ll either have to borrow a Mac to publish, or you’ll have to go to a third-party publisher like Draft2Digital or Smashwords.

Assuming you have a finished and polished manuscript ready to be published, your first task is to create an ebook file; EPUB is the industry standard ebook format accepted by nearly all retailers. Unfortunately, this cannot be done through a simple Word export, but many tools and services will help you prep an EPUB file. (While most retailers and distributors try to offer good Word-to-ebook conversion, results and quality vary tremendously. Use them with caution.)
Indeed, it’s pretty confusing out there. Rogue Reader is a new model of publishing, what I generally call partnership publishing. You don’t pay to get published, nor do they pay you an advance. It’s a profit-share model, and they invest in things like editing, design, etc. But like a traditional publisher, you still have to get your work accepted, and their selectivity, from what I hear, is on the same level as trying to gain acceptance by an agent or Big Five house.

Kickasstorrents was opened in 2008 and Within 6 years of the inauguration in 2014, it became one of the most visited torrent websites. Even an unregistered user can take advantage of the benefits, however, the website cannot run all the time. But in December 2016, some former KAT members revived it once again and since then there has been no hindrance in it. So This is another best torrent site for download ebooks.

When speaking of ebook publishing services, there are several very different things in play. Firstly, there are companies pitching ‘author services’ or ‘publishing services’ for a price. These companies usually offer an extensive publishing service, starting from developmental editing to POD or e-distribution. While these companies can be similar at first glance, they are very different regarding their approach to the author and their books. There is a thin line between genuine publishing services and vanity publishing, as there are steps that can be expensive if done properly (like editing or cover design).

Barnes & Noble's PubIt self-publishing operation offers similar features to Amazon's KDP, but the two platforms do have their differences. Barnes & Noble has set the PubIt royalty rate for authors at 65 percent of the sale price for titles priced $2.99 and higher. The rate falls to 40 percent if you choose to go lower than $2.99 or higher than $9.99, with B&N setting 99 cents as the lowest allowable price and $199.99 as the highest. (For books priced under $2.99 or over $9.99, you actually earn more by distributing your book to B&N through Smashwords, which pays 60 percent list for all prices 99 cents and up.
MOBI to EPUB Converter makes it possible that you can read Kindle books on more ereader or transfer Kindle MOBI books to other devices. MOBI format is specialized for Kindle device. Because Kindle is not an open source format, currently the ereader supports MOBI is not so many. After converting MOBI to EPUB, you can read your ebooks on non-Kindle device.
Disadvantage: Some readers prefer to hold a book in their hands and will pay more for the right to own the object and not just the story. These tactile types might not spend money on what seems like "nothing" to them. In addition, "quick access" is quick only if you know how to do it. Some book buyers may have trouble figuring out the process or may not have the correct software to accommodate your book format.
eBook Converter can be used to send and receive files between multiple third-party formats. The most common options include Kindle, ePub, Mobi and PDF. Other formats include (but may not be limited to) AZW, PRC and ADW3. Please note that there is no limited in regards to how may files can be converted. Not only will the content be accurately replicated, but this software bundle automatically resizes the text so that it will fit within the screen of the output device. The developers claim that eBook Converter is associated with speeds of up to five times faster than other options.
Trafford offers e-book conversion and distribution as part of its standard print publishing package. E-books are automatically priced at $3.99 and royalties are 50% of net. Full distribution takes about 4 weeks from time of upload and e-books are available on Amazon Kindle, Sony Reader, Nook, and Scribd, as well as in the Trafford bookstore. Considering that the basic print package runs $549, along with the lower e-book royalty rate compared to other publishers, this would be an option for authors whose primary concern is a print edition.
KDP Select is a new option that features a $6 million annual fund dedicated to independent authors and publishers. If you choose to make a book exclusive to the Kindle Store for at least 90 days, the book is eligible to be included in the Kindle Owners' Lending Library and you can earn a share of the fund based on how frequently the book is borrowed (click here to see how payments are calculated). In addition, by choosing KDP Select, you will have access to a new set of promotional tools, starting with the option to offer enrolled books free to readers for up to 5 days every 90 days. Authors and publishers can enroll a single title, their whole catalog or anything in between within KDP Select.
Amazon offers a 70 percent royalty rate for authors, but some rules apply (see the complete list of terms). This is the same royalty that Apple offers iPhone/iPad app developers and authors who sell e-books via its iBookstore store. You can upload your e-book directly to the iBookstore, but you have to fill out an application and it's a bit of a process. That's why authors tend to use an "aggregator" like Smashwords or Lulu to get into the iBookstore (see complete list of Apple-approved aggregators here). Even though the iPad supports most of the leading e-book stores (Amazon's Kindle, Barnes & Noble's Nook, Kobo), getting into the iBookstore is becoming more important as Apple continues to sell millions of iPads, iPhones, and iPod Touches.
Open eBooks is a library containing thousands of popular and award-winning titles that are free for children from in-need communities. These eBooks can be read without checkouts or holds. The goal of Open eBooks is to encourage a love of reading and serve as a gateway to children reading even more often, whether in school, at libraries, or through other eBook reading apps.

Write a short description about your book and it’s free days with exact Amazon links for each country! and offer it to other bloggers, including your books photo. Do this at least a week before the free days, to give bloggers time to incorporate your article into their blogging schedule. A couple of them will post it, especially if you wrote guest posts for them before and you offer them a reciprocal.

Price your e-book cheaply: You should sell your e-book for $5.99 or less. According to research done by Smashwords, an online e-book publishing and distribution platform for authors, publishers, agents, and readers, $2.99 to $5.99 yields the most profit for self-published authors, and although 99 cents will get you more downloads, it's a poor price point for earning income (see Smashwords' presentation on pricing here). On the other hand, Lulu, one of the bigger online self-publishing operations, says that authors who price their e-books in the 99-cent to $2.99 range "sell more units and earn more revenue than those in any other price range."

Great post and love your blog. I have to agree that once you write your first ebook the challenge is then to get it known. Obviously Kindle is the best way but if your objective is to drive people to your website/blog or facebook page there are different strategies to follow. It’s great that so many people are feeling empowered to write without the need for the whole publishing machine that used to come with paper books.
Also, if you have books in print from previous publishing deals, you can get them scanned from print back into Word so you can produce an ebook from that retrospectively. Many authors who had deals over 10 years ago will own their ebook rights, so it’s worth checking your contracts to see if you can publish digital versions, even if a traditional publisher owns your print rights. Paul, Thank you so much for this valuable content, you have just saved me a LOT of time and made the consideration of producing an eBook a lot more doable. I keep thinking I must start work on an eBook and have had thoughts about Amazon, but didn’t really believe it would be possible or that I would run into too many issues. Hearing this from someone who has been through the process is so valuable….now to decide what would be of value to my audience. Thinking time 🙂

So, if you want ebooks for free or don’t find paying few cents for an expensive e-book, Manybooks is great place for you to download free ebooks.

Though, there are many sites which are serving free e-book torrents and paid ebooks. But, several of these sites are getting banned due to copyright violations. You can unblock ebook torrent sites using any of the proxy or a VPN. However, in this article, I am going to share with you a list of 10 ebook torrenting sites that are operating from years and not going to shut down any soon. Enjoy!
Not your typical eBook marketplace, Slicebooks offers a platform for you to essentially sell sections of your eBooks or other content. So if your business books have some helpful chapters or snippets, you can use this platform to repurpose and sell just those parts for people who may not be interested in an entire eBook. Pricing starts at $9 per month.
If you're going to self-publish ebooks or you are already selling them, then I do recommend that you buy an ebook reader or at least try reading an ebook on one of the many free apps. You need to understand the mindset of an ebook reader as well as their online experience. I read 99% ebooks these days, mostly on the Kindle Paperwhite and my iPhone Kindle app. I mostly download samples before buying, unless I know and trust the author. I also have preferences around pricing, and you will pick these things up if you try reading digitally.
Disadvantage: Because almost anyone can make an ebook, it can be difficult to distinguish yourself from "almost anyone." To make your book equivalent to a "real" book (i.e., print), find and evaluate several digital book publishers before making a deal. A flashy website does not guarantee a great publisher. Look at the publisher's ebooks to see if yours fits in with that mix. Would you buy one of their books? Check the terms of any agreement you must sign to make sure you retain the rights that you should.
